About the Prayer and Discipleship Mountain Project
This is a little about the prayer and discipleship mountain project. The Lord moved on us to begin to look for property for a remote discipleship facility. We had no idea that there was no way to buy a mountain in Arizona. They were all owned by the state and were only available for mining.
In March 2005, we saw an ad that there was hunting property for sale up above the
Wikieup so we went and looked. The first properties that we saw were too remote, bad roads, way too vertical rendering them unbuildable. The real estate agent told us there was some more property on the other side of the mountain that was not for sale yet. So we said show it to us.
When we came over the mountain top and saw the beautiful valley that this mountain overlooks, we looked at each other and prayed and the Lord spoke “this is the property”. they told us this property was not for sale, that it was being divided up into 40 acre plots and that we would have to contact the owner and see if they would sell the entire 205 acres. We went down to the office from the mountain and they offered us 10% interest on the 205 acres over 15 years. We made them an offer of 8% interest if we would put $20,000 down. the owner accepted it and we signed the deal for the prayer and discipleship mountain
